Central Java, 1982. On the night when the veil between worlds grows thin, a son must break a rule older than his bloodline to save the mother who raised him, or lose her as he lost his father. The family heirloom demands blood, only he can end the curse.
SYNOPSIS
In the rural heart of Central Java, the night of the Javanese New Year is not the night for the living to wander. It is Malam Satu Suro, when the boundary between the human and spirit worlds grows thin, allowing restless spirits to walk among the living. The old warnings are simple: stay inside, stay silent, stay unseen.
But fate has never offered Kusumo a choice.
Born under the Weton Tulang Wangi, he is forbidden from setting foot outside on the Night of Suro. A year ago, his father was killed while performing the ancestral ritual to cleanse the family's sacred heirloom, Keris Tirta Wangi. If the ritual is not completed this year, the curse will claim his mother next.

With no one else left to bear the burden, Kusumo must defy a taboo older than his bloodline and venture into the village on the one night he should never leave home. As unseen forces close in, the truth behind the curse begins to emerge. To save his mother, he must survive until dawn and complete an ancient ritual, even if it means binding his own fate to the heirloom forever.
